Cathedral

Batumi Cathedral was built by architects Zubalashvili brothers from Baku in 1898. Since the Zubalashvili brothers were Catholics, they built a church in honor of their mother Barbara Tumanishvili. In Soviet times, the Bolsheviks placed a high-voltage laboratory in the church. In 1989, the church resumed its religious activities, becoming Orthodox.

Batumi Puppet Theater

This building has an old history and is of particular value only for Batumi, but for the whole of Georgia. At the beginning of the 20th century, it belonged to a Greek doctor who received patients at home. Since 1924, the building was transferred to the Adjara Teacher’s House, where the organization is still working. The puppet theater has been operating here from the period 1936-1940.

Batumi Art Museum

This is an important center of modern Georgian culture. The museum houses a whole collection of exhibits that give a clear idea of the main stages of Georgian art of the 20th century. There is also a small section of European and Russian art, which is presented in paintings and sculptural works of the XIX-XX centuries.

The park is located in the center of Batumi, its main entrance is decorated with grandiose white columns. It is located on the southeastern coast of Lake Nuri Gale. Currently, the park covers 16 hectares. There are a lot of greenery, an English lawn, a mooring, equipped and a zoo, attractions.

Batumi Botanical Garden

The garden is located on the Black Sea, its history began in 1880. A great contribution to the development of the garden was made by its discoverer, botanist and geographer A, H, Krasnov. He wanted to make this place look like the French Riviera and brought here a large number of various plants from southern France.

Batumi seaside park

Among the attractions of Batumi, the seaside park is a favorite entertainment place for residents and visitors of the city. All the attractions in the seaside park are created for recreation: various attractions, sports fields, tennis courts, a chess house, a bungalow.
