Adjara wine house
Adjara is not a wine region of Georgia. The eradication of the culture of winemaking was greatly influenced by its Islamization. Gradually, in the lowlands of Inner Adzharia, and more precisely in the municipality of Keda, winemaking revived, vineyards appeared. Now the district center even has a plant of one of the Georgian wine companies.
In the same area, driving along the trans-Adjarian highway, you can notice the Adjarian house of wine. This is a small complex, which includes: a vineyard, a beautiful courtyard with elements of ethnic culture, a mini-factory for the production of wine, a restaurant, a banquet hall and a wine store.
The wine house can be visited without prior approval. Tourists should be prepared for what the employees of the wine house cannot do the right tasting. Most likely they will pour 50 grams of wine from a bottle into a glass of grams, they will name the name of the wine and leave. So there is a tasting in the House of Wine. In addition, it should be noted that both wine and food are very expensive there.
At the institution there is a nice courtyard, the design of which emphasizes objects that were previously used in the manufacture of wine: qvevri, sadznahely (hollowed tree trunk, for crushing grapes), a moonshine used to make chachi, etc.
